What is the difference between 1771-NOC Series A and Series B?

Series B features upgraded internal circuitry

It provides improved noise immunity

It enhances thermal management under high backplane current loads

Both series are functionally compatible, meaning Series B can directly replace Series A

Does this module support RIUP (Removal and Insertion Under Power)?

No.The 1771 platform does not support hot-swapping.

Why is the FAULT (Red) LED turned on?

Insufficent Power: The PLC-5 chassis power supply cannot deliver the required backplane current (up to 3.3A).

Block Transfer Failure: The processor is failing to send the required BTW (Block Transfer Write) configuration to the module.

Hardware Failure: Internal component damage, such as a faulty EEPROM or digital-to-analog converter (DAC).
